TIP to identify Left & Right Skewness: (Thanks LeBadman:) Left: Mean is less than Median is less than Mode Symmetrical: Mean, Median and Mode are approximately equal Right: Mean is greater than Median is greater than Mode You just take: Mean, Median, Mode If it's left skewed, you will see the inequalities pointing to the left. If it's right skewed, you will see the inequalities pointing to the right.
