国連ユースボランティアの活動について / United Nations Volunteers at KGU (English subtitles)

国連ユースボランティア」は、関西学院大学が国連ボランティア計画（United Nations Volunteers：UNV）との協定に基づき、学生を開発途上国にボランティアとして派遣するプログラムです。本学が2004年に開発途上国への学生ボランティア派遣を開始して以来、これまでに70名を超える学生が開発途上国で活動を行ってきました。 2013年には学内に「国連ユースボランティア」派遣日本訓練センターを設置し、同プログラムへの学生派遣を促進しています。同センターは、派遣に備えるための事前研修プログラムを提供しています。その内容は、国連や国際協力についての全般的な知識をはじめ、安全対策まで多岐にわたります。 受講生は、基本的な知識を身につけるとともに、実践的なスキルを習得し、現地での活動に耐えうる資質を身につけます。研修は、派遣先でのボランティア活動の遂行を円滑にし、ひいては活動の成果を最大化することをねらいとしています。 研修受講後、全ての派遣手続きが完了すれば、UNVのコーディネートにより開発途上国の国連事務所等に派遣されます。派遣先国はアジア、アフリカ、大洋州、欧州の各国です。学生たちは、ホームページやポスター作成などの広報活動やプロジェクト運営支援などを通して、教育・保 健 衛 生・環 境・ジェンダー・貧 困 削 減などの活動に携わります。 Since 2004, more than 70 students have been dispatched to engage in activities in developing countries based on an agreement between the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program and Kwansei Gakuin University.The Youth Volunteer Japan Training Center for the UNV Program was established on campus in 2013, since then it has accelerated the promotion of this program among students. The Center provides pre-assignment training courses which include lectures on topics ranging from international cooperation to safety precautions. Participants gain basic knowledge in addition to acquiring practical skills in order to endure local activities. The courses aim for smooth facilitation of volunteer activities at each location, and maximize the outcome of activities. After completing the pre-assignment training and necessary procedures, students are dispatched to UN offices in developing countries through coordination with the UNV. Destinations include countries in Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Europe. Students engage in activities involving education, health and sanitation, environment, gender, and poverty reduction issues through PR activities, such as creating websites and posters, and project operation support.
