Biden faces more pressure to quit presidential race as he opens NATO summit | BBC News

US President Joe Biden has been addressing the opening of a Nato summit in Washington DC as pressure grows on him to abandon his presidential re-election campaign. A seventh Democratic member of Congress has called on him to quit as senior party members held meetings to discuss his candidacy. Concerns have been growing since President Biden’s disastrous TV debate with the Republican candidate Donald Trump. It comes as Mr Biden takes centre stage at the meeting of Nato leaders, with the war in Ukraine at the top of their agenda.
