フタルイミドからホフマン転位を用いてアントラニル酸を得ます。反応中にタールが生じ、純度や収率は向上しませんでした。 Anthranilic acid is produced from phthalimide using Hofmann rearrangement. Tar was generated during the reaction, and purity and yield were not improved.
