Motivational Education: Inspire & Save the Next: Ken Soetanto at TEDxWasedaU

"I won't give up on anyone!" is Dr. Soetanto's philosophy of education. In this talk, Dr. Soetanto shares his 'Soetanto Method' of inspiring de-motivated students and bring them once again onto the path of success. Ken Soetanto is a Chinese Indonesian motivational specialist who holds four doctorates in separate disciplines (engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical science and education). His research draws on this interdisciplinary background to unique complementary effect. Since 1988, he has been inspiring de-motivated college students, from community colleges to top-rated universities, to become proactive in their education, to succeed in the job hunting, and to be respected leaders and public figure. His style of motivational education has been named the "Soetanto Method" or "Soetanto Effect" by students and Japanese media. The Soetanto method has extended beyond the fields of education and psychology, and has been embraced by the business world as well. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
